The origins of Berrybrothers goes back to the Betuwe, in the centre of the Netherlands, in 1980, where Jan and Karin van Zuilen started a soft fruit farm. As expansion was not possible there, they looked for another location, and found it in 1990 in Roggel, Limburg. The business in the Betuwe remained in the family. Jan’s brother Albert van Zuilen and his wife Wieke took over the nursery. In 1998, the brothers set up a marketing company together, because they wanted more say in the sale of their soft fruit. The company now grows, markets and supplies redcurrants and other soft fruits all year round. In 2005, Jan and Karin’s sons Nijswin and Gerco van Zuilen joined the company, and the name Berrybrothers was born. In 2011, daughter Franciene also joined the business. Today, Teun and Gijs, Albert and Wieke’s sons, complete the family picture at Berrybrothers. Berrybrothers continues to grow and develop into a large and innovative company, while still upholding the family’s traditional skills. A family business to be proud of!

We regularly organise open days for the local area, and we have a soft fruit machine at the farm in Roggel with our tastiest fresh soft fruit.
